Many serve without pay and without State funding. Some have part of their expenses paid by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts.Above are the addresses for members of the Massachusetts State Legislature. Your writing assignment if you decide to accept it, is to write to members of the Legislature and ask that a bill be introduced that will create a State Poet Laureate for Massachusetts.
